With Garner Grows membership increasing every month, It can be overwhelming to keep track of all the wonderful people you meet through Garner Grows, especially when you are new to the garden! So this year we are creating a Member Directory, where each member can create and edit a brief profile and upload some pictures to help other members recognize them. You can put as much or as little information as you want in your profile, and up to 5 images, but we do hope you will at least add the small round profile photo, which is what will be displayed in the directory. Need some ideas of what to say in your profile? Start with your name &/or Nickname, your pronouns, and the year you joined. Then maybe add your favorite crops and garden activities, whether you have family members who also participate in the garden, and what your hobbies are outside of the garden. Use your imagination and don’t be afraid to be creative!
In order to protect your privacy, the Member Directory will only be accessible by other members using a secure username and password.
To help everyone learn all the names to go with the new faces, we will also be using name tags during workdays and events. If you don’t have a nametag yet, please ask a Leader to provide one for you, which you can decorate as you would like. Then at the end of each workday or event, please don’t forget to leave your name tag in the alphabetized box, so that they don’t get lost!
Each week members will receive an email schedule detailing any upcoming workdays or events. But if you lose track of the email or need a quick and easy reference, all workdays and events are also posted to our Calendar. Because the calendar is publicly accessible, we will not include location information for any events that take place at our satellite gardens because they are private residences, but you will find those addresses here on the password-protected Members Calendar.
